A New Path to Weight Loss Support

Zepbound (tirzepatide) is an FDA-approved medication indicated for adults with obesity or overweight who also have at least one weight-related health concern. It functions by mimicking gut hormones to help control hunger, increase satiety, and stabilize blood sugar. When used alongside a balanced diet and regular exercise, Zepbound has been shown to assist patients in losing up to 20% of their body weight.*

At our Fort Worth clinic, we take the time to assess your unique needs in person and determine whether Zepbound fits your health profile and goals.

This medication should not be used by individuals with a personal or family history of medullary thyroid carcinoma (MTC) or Multiple Endocrine Neoplasia syndrome type 2 (MEN 2). For complete safety information, please refer to Lilly’s Zepbound prescribing guide.

How Does Zepbound Work?

Tirzepatide, the active component in Zepbound, activates two hormone receptors—GLP-1 and GIP—that naturally regulate appetite, digestion, and insulin. These hormones signal the brain to reduce hunger, slow gastric emptying, and enhance satiety. This makes it easier to feel satisfied with smaller meals, contributing to calorie reduction over time.

Zepbound also plays a role in stabilizing blood glucose and improving insulin function, making it particularly beneficial for individuals facing metabolic challenges such as insulin resistance or prediabetes. By engaging multiple pathways involved in metabolism and weight regulation, Zepbound offers comprehensive support for those seeking meaningful weight change.

What to Expect from Your Fort Worth Zepbound Journey

Your weight loss program at Genesis Lifestyle Medicine begins with an in-depth, face-to-face consultation. We’ll review your medical history, lab results, and weight loss objectives to determine if Zepbound is a good match.

If prescribed, you’ll receive training on self-administering the weekly injection using a simple prefilled pen—typically in the thigh or abdomen. Dosage increases gradually over time based on your response to minimize side effects and maximize results. Our Fort Worth team is available every step of the way to offer guidance and ensure you stay on track.
